Luc Julia, co-founder of Siri, suggests that the current form of generative AI, which creates content based on data patterns, may soon be replaced by more sophisticated AI systems. Despite the rapid advancements in AI, Julia argues that these tools still lack the human elements of creativity, such as emotion, personal experience, and deep understanding of nuances. Although generative AI tools like ChatGPT and DALL·E are becoming increasingly integrated into various industries, they are unable to “think outside the box” in the same way humans can. Julia believes that AI is still in its early stages and that the current generative AI may give way to systems capable of deeper comprehension and more complex interactions, going beyond mimicking human behavior to engaging in meaningful, intuitive conversations. According to Julia, the future of AI should focus on enhancing human capabilities, not attempting to replicate creativity.
